Account Information

When you create a membership account we collect:

• Email address and password
• Account creation date
• Membership status and subscription history

Listening and Usage Data

When you use the IO app we collect:

• Tracks and albums played, including play duration and timestamp
• Recently played history
• Saved tracks and albums
• Search queries within the app

Subscription and Billing Information

When you subscribe we collect:

• Subscription status (active, cancelled, past due)
• Subscription start date and renewal date
• Payment processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store credit card or payment details directly

Device and Technical Information

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• IP address and approximate location (country/region)
• Push notification preferences

This information helps us understand how members use the app and allows us to improve the experience.

Information collected is used to:

• Create and manage your membership account
• Deliver audio content through the IO app
• Process and manage your subscription
• Send push notifications about new releases, early access content, and giving impact updates, based on your notification preferences
• Generate royalty reporting data required by music rights organizations (MLC, BMI, SoundExchange). Stream data including track identifiers and play counts are used for this purpose
• Calculate and track charitable donations (10% of every membership goes toward fighting hunger and homelessness)
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Respond to customer inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

As a music streaming service, Inside Out Entertainment is legally required to report usage data to music rights organizations including the MLC (mechanical royalties), BMI (performance royalties), and SoundExchange (neighboring rights). This reporting includes:

• Track identifiers (ISRC)
• Stream counts
• Play duration
• Service type (on-demand subscription)
• Territory

This data is used solely for royalty reporting purposes and is not shared with any other third parties.

10% of every membership fee is donated to support hunger and homelessness prevention. We track aggregate donation totals to report impact to our members. Individual payment amounts are not shared with charitable organizations, only aggregate totals are reported.

The IO app uses the following third-party services that may collect or process information:

• Supabase, database and authentication
• RevenueCat, subscription billing management
• Bunny CDN, audio content delivery
• Apple App Store, in-app purchases and app distribution
• Google Play, in-app purchases and app distribution

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services directly.

If you grant permission, we may send push notifications for:

• New music releases
• Early access drops
• New artists joining the roster
• Monthly giving impact updates
• Promotional announcements

You can manage notification preferences at any time in the app under Profile, Settings, Notifications, or through your device settings.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Streaming and listening data is retained for royalty reporting purposes for a minimum of 3 years in accordance with music industry reporting requirements. If you delete your account, personal information is removed within 30 days except where retention is required by law or royalty reporting obligations.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Manage notification preferences within the app

You can delete your account in two ways:

• In the app: go to Profile, Settings, Delete Account
• By request: email contact@iomusicent.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"

We will process your request within 30 days. Note that stream data used for royalty reporting may be retained in anonymized form as required by music industry obligations.

The IO app is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, please contact us at contact@iomusicent.com and we will delete it promptly.

Some artists featured on the IO app are digital performers created using modern music production technologies. All music is original and produced by the Inside Out Entertainment team.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of online transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. The effective date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
